We are certainly lucky to have Adrian on the team. Our scope of works has certainly increased since Adrian has joined us.
In his spare time Adrian enjoys working on his old VK Holden Commodore and renovating houses. He’s a volunteer at the PCYC as a driver training instructor with underprivileged youth.
Michael Insch
Experience: Way back in 1996, in the pre-google days, while still in school Michael was already in the business of programming web pages. As soon as he finished school, he had a job at a local computer shop in Ipswich. Since then, he’s worked on computer operated machinery in various roles. He is well known on Magnetic Island for working at a popular unconventional café and has been the “go to” man when anyone on the island needed IT assistance. Rather than fumble along on his own, Michael applied for a job at The Computer Workshop where his experience in making IT happen has proved valuable.
Michael is a Queenslander through and through. He was born in Mackay but grew up in Maryborough. His family moved to Ipswich where they lived for 20 years. On New Year’s Eve 2015, Michael arrived at Magnetic Island where he met his lovely wife Fiona who is a well-known local musician. He soon became an integral part of the music scene becoming President of the Magnetic Island Musos Club. Michael and Fiona have 3 delightful young daughters, all under the age of 6.
Riley Warhurst
Experience: Once again, we’ve broken our policy of not hiring members of the same family because the value Riley brings to our team was too good to pass. Riley achieved his Cert II and Cert III in ICT whilst working with another IT company for 2 years as a help desk technician diagnosing IT issues and remotely repairing computer problems. He decided to move his services to The Computer Workshop where he has a team of technicians to share his knowledge and upskill in other areas of technology. Riley has a passion for building computers dating back to when he was at primary school. His dad can’t remember a time when he wasn’t pulling apart someone’s PC and rebuilding it to make it run more efficiently. He also enjoys helping people improve their operating systems and Microsoft Office 365. Add this to his experience in C# scripting, , coding, 3D modelling and augmented reality for online gaming and we have another great technician on our team.
Riley is a budding petrol-head and loves to drive his silver 2014 Holden Commodore SV6 Storm which just has to be a manual. He’s a hard core gamer and even does twitch streaming where people subscribe to watch him play. When not gaming or driving his car, Riley enjoys a good workout at the gym.
