Our fabulous team of cablers just spent a week in Richmond preparing the Turf Club for the annual races.

They installed all the cabling for the new PA system, installed access points for Wi-Fi and the Wi-Sky internet connection they need to make the race meeting a resounding success.

For those who don’t know, Richmond is between Hughenden and Julia Creek on the way to Mount Isa.  It’s a rural town with a population of around 650.

The town is located on the bank of the Flinders River, the longest in Queensland.  It’s often referred to as “The Oasis of the Outback” with its recreational Lake Fred Tritton conveniently located on the outskirts of town.  The lake provides locals and visitors alike the opportunity to enjoy a wider range of watersports.

You wouldn’t think that a town in the outback whould have a museum dedicated to displaying marine reptiles but that’s what you’ll find at Kronosaurus Korner.  That’s where you can find Minmi, considered to be Australia’s best preserved dinosaur skeleton with its impressions of fossilized skin.  Minmi was found in 1989 and take pride of place alongside Richmond’s Pliosaus skeletons.  If you’re in to dinosaurs, you can even procure a map to guide you through the region’s designated fossicking sites.

Our team of technicians will often visit our valued clients in Richmond on their way to our workshop in Cloncurry.
